Are you a fit Prego?

Posted December 10, 2007 at 2:29PM by FrecklQn

When I'm not pregnant, I run, practice yogo, and if I can find the time, hike and snowboard. I love exercising, and I feel great when I do it. But, from the minute I pee on that stick and see 2 lines, I can't seem to fathom the idea of walking down the stairs to my car each morning, let alone going to yoga or for a run. I know so many women who run well into their third trimester. Hell, I even know a woman who was doing hill-suicides in her neighborhood when she was pregnant for her 4th child. . . what the heck is that about?!

I would love to be able to simply jog, but whenever I pick up the pace from a slow walk, my uterus feels like it's going to slip out of my body, and my pubic bone is throbbing from the pressure of jogging. Even yoga is out for me. Moving around from one position to the next, and my back and pelvis bones start cracking up a storm. I swear my grandmother is in better shape than me when I'm pregnant!

My body says no to exercise when with child. What about yours?

dishing the dirt, cleaning the chaos

great question. honestly, I went to corepower yoga 2-3 times a week. I was MUCH more fit (chartuangas (sp?) until 8 months pregnant!). Now I totally suck and I'm drained...I feel like I have no time care if I am fat or not...I'm turing into one of those...that blows!
