Hard work pays off

We've been living in our first house for 4 1/2 months now and have basicly flipped the entire thing.  My DH never wants to see the nailer ever again and I never want to see another paint brush.  Living here has been the best change in my daughter's life.  We've seen the positive spin already.  Once the warmer weather arrives we'll be outside and she'll be able to play with the neighbors kids more.  We are looking forward to that.

It's been an adjustment living further away from all the stores.  It's good in a way cause you think....do we really need that?  Good money saving tip.

I can't believe she'll be starting kindergarten in the fall.  Oh my.  What do I need to do to prepare for this?  They go a full day here and start earlier than the high school kids.  I've already decided I need to find a part time job to get me through the empty feeling at home when she's gone.  I'm gonna miss her so much but I'm so excited for her at the same time.

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

Congrats a million times! It's got to feel good to make your house your own, and tweak just for you guys.

DD starts kindergarten next year too and the bus comes at 7:00-ish, dang - I'm barely up at that time!

To prepare you can ask the school if you both can tour her class, and maybe meet her teacher, things like that. I know she's a confidante kid who does stuff for herself, like put on her jacket, ask for help if needed, but the rest she'll learn there.

Whoo hoo, another milestone!
