Joys of Motherhood

I'm not dead so I must be stronger!!

I was sitting here trying to figure out what is my favorite thing about being a new mother. First I would say that the sheer miracle that it happened is certainly a long awaited dream come true. I think my most favorite part is that hope his new life presents. On the selfish side, I get to start all over again through his eyes. Hopefully I can do this by supporting his informed choices by allowing him to live his own life. The thing is, I love him so much and want the best for his life so much that this goal may prove impossible. He'll be 12 weeks old on Friday and he still sleeps with me. When we wake up in the morning (for the last time), he just grins and coos like he is so happy to see another day. He makes me happy to see it too, no matter how tired I am. To me, that is pure joy. What is your favorite part about being a mom? (I tried to come up with one favorite but I ended up with three.)

The best part I like is that motherhood makes you a complete woman:)And I feel proud to be one:))

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

Seeing and experiencing things from their perceptive. Everything is new and fresh. It makes me appreciate little things more. I try not to rush out of the house before work without sitting down for a wee snuggle or a quick game of "puppy".

They're cute when they're alseep!

Being a Mom makes me a better person. I try harder at things so I can give my daughter a good example.

their laughs when i hear their giggles I know that they are happy children and I know that I am doing the best I can for them.Hearin mommy I love you is also the best.

Aden's allergies

Now I know that my baby is not sick. But, he is allergic to citrus. Today was a much better day than two days ago. That was the day I learned about his allergy. I usually go and feed him for lunch but that day I couldn't. I felt so bad. I felt like he might have missed me. I know I certainly missed him. Then, when they did call to verify that I wasn't coming, they also let me know that his eyes were red and runny and so was his nose. That was the worse; not only did I miss the feeding but he also didn't feel well. As it turns out, it was actually an allergic reaction to the milk I supplied for him because of the lime juice I had the night before. Could it get any worse? Anyway, he's asleep and its 8:30 and he's been asleep since 6:00 so it should be an interesting night.

I am sorry.Many people are allergic to citrus.May be you could avoid giving him lemon,orange and others with citrus.Hope he gets well soon.Have a nice day.

Wow - who knew that what you ate affected your milk and your son's reaction. Good thing you found that out. At least it's not wheat, that would be a lot harder to remove from your diet.
