All was going well on Halloween until I was mortified by my daughter’s behavior. How can someone so little make such a big faux pa?
When she was offered a candy she didn’t like, she TOLD the kind person doling out the free candy, “I don’t like this.” I was soooo embarrassed. Of course I corrected her and told her it was rude to say she didn’t like the candy and just say “Thank you” and I’ll eat it for her. She did this 2x’s and I reminded her again that you say “Thank you” and move on. Just thinking about it still bums me out!
But all in all we had a grand time. We went to our friend’s neighborhood and made it around the block. This was a victory for us, because last year we just made it to the end of the street.
One house was giving out glow sticks. That was a huge hit with the kids and parents.
Another house was giving out full size candy bars. It was all I could do to hold back and not choose for my daughter! I guess in the end it was better she picked something she liked rather then what I love. She was saving me from myself.
That’s me dressed up like Hulk Hogan, DD went as a Pony and my DS was a Bat. DH was the stroller pusher and family photographer.

Some other costumes I was thinking about were Bald Britney Spears and Get out-of-jail Paris. I can’t wait for next year!
