Fancy outfit

Posted February 5, 2008 at 11:30AM by Sticky_Mommy
I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

Yesterday was a proud and horrifying moment for me. Proud because my daughter picked out her outfit and got dressed all by herself. Horrified because of what she picked out.

Who knew that purple pants with glittery snow flakes went with a pink top with different shades of purple, pink, and red flowers? OMG, it was heinous. The pants are really bottoms of a PJ set, but I didn’t tell her that. And of course yesterday was a pre-school day so she was out in public with that fancy outfit.

I didn’t want to crush her sense of style or deter her from getting dressed by herself again, so I bite my lip and made fun of her behind her back.

I am a naughty Mommy. But see for yourself!

You're a good mommy for letting go! Plus, you can always take pictures and embarrass her later in life!

OhMyGosh! I rememeber when MY DD first started dressing herself. It was a striped shirt and paisley pants (remember, hand-me-downs are ALWAYS in style.) Thank goodness she (slightly) modified her taste as she got a bit older.

Love this...so cute. Who knows...you may have a designer on your hands. It looks like something you'd see on the runway these days!

OMG.. Thats too funny. My DD use to want to dress herself too. We finally made a deal. We took turns every other day except on Sunday. I always got Sunday. Worked for us.
