Stupid Milestones that I love

Posted August 23, 2007 at 2:02PM by Sullysmama
Will the next one be ginger too??

So, when people think of milestones in their baby's lives they usually think of things like smiling, crawling, walking and talking. But what about those other fun milestones like eating a cheerio without choking or pooping in the bathtub ( which my son did for the first time last week...awww)  or waving goodbye at the appropriate time (not 5 minutes after the person they were waving to exited the premises.) ??

Well, this morning we had an adorable first. My husband was making tea, which he does every morning, and Sully was in the kitchen waiting for the kettle to whistle--he thinks it's hilarious.  After the kettle whistled, B took it off the burner to pour his tea and the wee man pointed at the kettle and said "woooooo. woooooo" in his best high pitch tea kettle voice. So now he can imitate the whistling tea kettle.

I'm such a proud mother.

That is so cute. I'm looking forward to my first poop in the tub (?).

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

OK, this isn't funny but it went down in the baby book and fyi she was on my husbands watch...when my DD was just learning to walk she pushed her walker down the basement stairs. She was fine, my husband was devastated.

Lesson leared the hard way - get a baby gate.

And a tub floater it was. One little bubble followed by a floating terdlet. Hilarious.

OMG. too funnuy. my dd did the same thing as S_M....not funny, but she was fine also.
the "terdlet" in the tubbie thing didn't happen for us until she was like 2 1/2. She was all done with the tubbie and stood up and squated and grunted and there is was...Oh yuke.
