Translucency test update

Posted December 20, 2007 at 10:50AM by WantaBabyboy
"I'm really hoping my mother lifted that curse!"

So I went yesterday and everything seemed fine with the exception of a missing penis that is.  :)  So they couldn't be "certain" but it looks a lot like another girl.  Oh well, as long as the baby is healthy I'm happy but gee I really want a boy.  I do hope they are wrong.

Yea, I'm getting used to the idea, it is still hard though b/c this is the last one for us and I really wanted to experience both. I'm just happy the baby is healthy and now I will move on and be happy with my family of girls.

I'm all set to go for this test tomorrow and this is a new one for me.  Anyone have this done and if so, were they able to tell what you were having?  Thanks for any info.

Where am I and what have they done to my body?

I did have that done and it was a breeze. They also were able to tell I was having a boy. Boys are pretty easy to tell. :) Here's hoping for ya

Geesh, why does it always seem the worst news comes at this time of year?  I've had four separate groups of family, friends, etc. with bad news and not just awww man that sucks, but life changing horrible news.  It makes me so sad and then I started thinking maybe this is universe's way of making us be grateful for all that we do have.  I'm not sure but if the powers that be are listening, lets get this news after christmas.....K.....

Not so thrilling the third time around...

I have been wondering if I have lost my mind.  On the boat everyday on my way into work, the nausea is so overwhelming at times I do not think I can go on.  I see my girlfriends who have crossed over the comfort of two and think to myself that I really must be nuts.  They never have minute to talk without some out burst of "no, put that down" and "hold on, Brian, noooooo!".  I think how complicated and confusing it is to have two kids and be a full time high stressful job having mother and wonder how much crazier it will be with lucky number 3.  What kind of adjustments and sacrifices we will all have to make with another baby in the house and it frightens me.  I always thought two would be enough but then we really wanted to "TRY" for a boy and here I am....

On the nicer side of this internal debate with myself, the thought of a bigger family, the possibility of a boy and the thoughts of an itty bitty baby again make me smile and fill me with hope that the doubts and fears will fade away soon and that the joy children bring into the world will fill me with positive thoughts instead of the dread I have been feeling lately.

I am not in your shoes but I have had all these thoughts. I have two and a lot of my friends are now on #3. I feel the pressure. I toy with wanting one more. On one hand I can't imagine that I am done. But on the other hand I am not sure I could go through it all again either. I am at the stage in my life though that I have to decide. For me personally I don't want to have kids after a certain age so I feel that damn clock ticking now and I hate it.

three's cool- crazier for sure but man, they play together and I micromanage. I know if my middle didn't have a younger (they are exactly 2 yrs apart), he's be bored to tears. It really makes the dynamics in some ways WAY more intesnse (like going anywhere with three is always crazier than with 2) but birthdays and holidays and special times are the more the merrier. Also, we get such a laugh out of the littlest one...it's great but, yes, you are insane :)

I can't help ya. I have one and I'm so done. We are feeling the pressure of having another and people who I thought understood where we stand are now pressuring us to have another. Not unless God says otherwise. God bless you all who have more than one! You are wonderous people and I do admire you ALL for ALL you do!
