this morning started out like none other (from the past 7 and a half months at least).  i woke slowly from my deep slumber, gently becoming aware of my surroundings while me eyes were still closed.  as i opened my eyes i realized that something was amiss - it was light out, it was still silent in the bedroom next door, and i hadn't stirred since i feel asleep 7 hours earlier!!!  yup, that's right, my first full night of sleep since my son was born.  i had forgotten just how good you feel with a full night of sleep under your belt.

i reveled in the newfound feeling of rest and then happily got out of bed when ds started to stir.  it was only 5:30 but i got out the stroller, coaxed the dog off of his bed, and the three of us went for an early morning walk.  what a wonderful way to start the day.
