What Does Mother's Day Mean To You?

Goofing around with my babies - Big and Lil

To me its about celebrating moms everywhere, and giving credit to all that we do. Its a very rare occasion when people say thank you for being you and thank you for being my mom. Its also a day kind of like our birthdays where we take the day off and let everyone else do it all. Of course that doesnt happen completly but for the most part it does. Before I was a mom it was all about taking care of my mom and grandma for the day but now its about relaxing and talking to them while everyone else does things for us. There arent any traditions in our family but I wish that there where, it would be nice to have that same thing to do every year so that we knew what was happening and didnt have to call 20 different people to get together. This year we're going to husband's mom in the morning and then my mom and maybe my sister is coming to our place in the afternoon. I still havent decided what to make so I'd better get planning :)

dishing the dirt, cleaning the chaos

it means loving the boys for who they are...and recognizing how lucky I am to have them around.
