I love my DD's fluffy bottom. I love cloth diapers. I was a little nervous at first, but I am hooked now. I was worried that is was going to be too much extra work as a first time mom. Almost a year later I am so glad that we are doing it this way. When I was little of course I wore cloth, so did my younger sister and brother. DH's family was the same so we didn't really have personal experience with disposables and just sort of assumed that we would do cloth. We never really even talked about it. I had my whole stash all planned out I was excited. I was going to order from cottonbabies and jomamaco.com we were going to do prefolds for home and pockets for daycare (I was going to go back to work)

Then DD came early. We were not prepared and hadn't ordered any diapers yet, we thought we had six weeks left. We were sent home from the hospital with tiny preemie sposies. Then we just bought a pack because the cloth that we ordered hadn't come yet. Then we got our cloth and had to switch. We started with the pocket diapers. We used Happy Heinys because they came in XS, so easy. Then we tried the preemie indian prefolds with the prowrap cover, not a problem. Then as she got bigger we tried fitteds, and AIOs. Then we got our BunGenius. It was heaven. I love them. I wish I hadn't found them so soon because I ordered a whole stash before the 2.0s came out. They are still great, but I've heard that the 2.0s are even better. I have a berryplush, a bambooo BumGenius fitted, I still have a whole list of diaper dreams that I would love to buy. I am addicted to them. So hard to quit.

The washing which we feared is just a part of the routine. Every other day we do a load of diapers a cold and then a hot wash and throw the prefolds, inserts and wipes in the dryer and hang the covers on a rack in the kitchen. No big deal.

I love that there are no chemicals near my DDs delicate bottom. I love that I don't throw stuff away with every diaper change. I love that my next DC will be able to wear them when she no longer needs them. I love how cute they are, I have so many colors and prints.
