Delicious Babyfood

Posted May 31, 2007 at 1:10PM by cosmoblue

I often find myself sneaking bites of DD's babyfood, which I make. I realized last night that it just tastes better than what I have been eating lately. I've been eating alot of frozen convienience foods. I have never been a cook. I have always said that I hate kitchens. Probably because I was never allowed to do anything in my parents' kitchen growing up. I've decided that my babyfood habit is telling me that I need to do something about my non cooking. If I can chop, steam, and puree for DD, I can cook for my husband and myself. I CAN learn to cook.

  Life is crazy but wonderful.

Of course you can!! My mom always told me if you can read you can cook, all you need is a good cookbook. The one that I always use is Better Homes and Garden. It has all the basics and a lot of different recipes. I never cooked before my daughter was born but I love cooking now.

dishing the dirt, cleaning the chaos

I so hate cooking- it's messy and incovenient and my stuff always tastes below average. But, with 3 boys, a husband and a mother in law who can cook like a gourmet chef- I've had to fake it. If I can learn to cook, anyone can! I'll hook up some EASY recipes that really are easy.

Get yourself this cookbook - The Vegetarian Family Cookbook by Nava Atlas. I think I read you are vegan? This isn't a true vegan cookbook but you can alter all them to be. It is by far the BEST cookbook I have ever owned. Very simple vegetarian recipes made for families. Try it. You can do it.

  Three is for me!

You can do it!!! Don't give up if you mess up a few times, it happens, but you learn as you go!
