Life is crazy but wonderful.
I grew up with my entire family living within 3-4 blocks of us in Burlington, vt. I mean my entire family, grandparents, aunts, uncles & all my cousins. I loved having my family around growing up. Now we live about 1 hour away from everyone and I really miss just running over to my parents or in laws.

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!
I love, love, love it when family comes to visit. I fully take advantace and sleep in, go out (sans kids), let others clean, go on dates (mostly with my husband), and at night catch up with my loved ones. It's so great to have a wee break. I love the saying it takes a village, and durning the fist year it takes a few villages.

I too grew up with all my relatives in the surrounding towns. I was the only one of the children and cousins who left the state. I am now 3 1/2 hours away from everyone and it is so hard and so lonely at times raising a family far from family.
