Big Blue

Posted June 28, 2007 at 11:20PM by cosmoblue

I am starting to think about all of the things are going to be different in OR. I am looking at my big blue surf board (an Anderson 9'0). I have not taken her out since I got my BFP wid DD and she is going to be 13 months next week. I have not been able to get my act together to paddle out.  I wasn't very good as I only started surfing about 5 months before my BFP. It is sad. I live less than an hour from the beach and the weather is beautiful here. It had always been a dream of mine to be a surfer, since I was like 10. Of course I will be able to surf in Oregon too in freezing water and with sharks, but it won't be the same cali surfer lifestyle that I dreamt of. It just confirms my decison to move. I have not been able to take advantage of all the things the town has to offer because of traffic and working super long hours and not having enough money.

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

It's funny how life sometimes gets in the way of living. We live 45 mins from a world class ski resort and I went snowboarding 3X last year. And I had a free season pass!!!

I've been learning to eek out time for myself, husband & family. I think it's going to be an on going learning lesson.
