aloha! I'm back...still on vacation world tour lol

dishing the dirt, cleaning the chaos

Ok, so I've been on the road with 3 kids for 18 days now!

It's a bit crazy but we've had two of the best vacations ever. I'm going to plug both destinations and if you ever get the chance...GO!

The first: the dream inn in santa cruz, CA. They remodeled it and it is the bomb!
Everything is streamlined in surfy-retro vibe. The pool overlooks the ocean but the best bonus w/ kids? the boardwalk is right there and they have a blast on the rides and playing the games.

The second?

Kona Village in Kona, Hawaii
.
This is like a paradise version of camp. You get a hut in a rugged jungle atmosphere on the ocean-- everything's inlcuded and it's rugged for a resort. This is THE BEST place for families looking to do the hawaii thing without a four seasons/hotel type experience. I'm sure there are others but this one gets my vote! My inlaws have been going for 38 years...that says A LOT.

GUESS WHICH CELEBRITY we spotted THIS TIME! Last trip it was peewee herman...this one? steve jobs! the most powerful man in puppetland...I mean the world, lol.

Just FYI, I have family in CA so I'm not jet-setting for 3 wks straight...you might wonder but it's a strategic family vacation with a couple destinations worked in there, lol...

WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR SUMMER ADVENTURES?????

Hey! I am currently at the airport and let me say thank god for technology! If you can coordinate the wires, it's worth it!

We are at the airport right now. I'm on my laptop, my kids are glued to the nintendos & we have the portable dvd fired up....plus podcasts are loaded...it's awesome!

I'm one to shy away from hauling all that but all I can say is everyone is happy, even with the risk of mental mush....oh well, it's vacation and a sonic the hedgehog marathon iss cool with me...

this is our first diaper and stroller free flight in 9 YEARS! It's really wild...

DO YOU BOTHER BRINGING ALL THE TECH STUFF?

Have a great trip. I haven't flown since my son was 3 months old so I don't know what I would do.

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

Amen! I think what ever you can do to make it an easy trip, children's Tylenol, a shot of booze for Mommy, what ever help! :)

  They're cute when they're alseep!

We download Dora on the iPod and that helps out a lot. Of course then we get bored, but it's better then subjecting strangers to screaming.
