Dad sings to belly...

Posted June 28, 2007 at 11:15AM by dvd1711

Here's a great tip for expecting dads; sing to your baby in the womb. It is fun and worth it and your baby's mom will love you for it. Here is my story and proof of benefit:

I used to sing "Smilin' Face" by JT when my son was in the womb. The day he was born, I was laying down with him on my chest. When I satarted singing to him he lifted his head. Very cool for the first day of birth.

More important, he came down with yellow jondus. I rushed to the hospital when he was admitted into ICU. When I arrived, he was crying and 2 nurses were trying to get an IV in him with little succes. Through my tears (which I shed again now just telling this story) I started singing the song to him. He was quiet right away, even as they stuck the needle in his little leg, he just listened. "You...stay here." was the nurses' response to me. Yeh, like they had a choice, lol.

So, sing to your baby dad. One of the best things you will ever do for your family.

Peace.
/Dave

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

So sweet! My DH used to put headphones on my belly, mostly Beatles tunes. Great tip!
