33 weeks

Posted March 27, 2008 at 4:25PM by kbraniff
You and me and baby makes three!!!!

Today we had our 33 week appointment. I was going to write a bunch of stuff about how my morning was but I think that I will pass. First of all, we were supposed to do another ultrasound today but ended up with a regular OB appointment. Baby is good. He is head down with his back on my right side and his feet on my left. Course I knew he would be considering the fact that he has been head down the whole pregnancy. My blood pressure was a little higher than the doctor wanted it to be so I had to lay on my left side for about a half hour and then it went down. We discussed a little bit about birth options. I want to go as long as I can without pain medication and if I do need it I can have it. Although, they don’t do epidurals here but I do have two other options if I want them. He asked me how I felt about an episiotomy if I need it and I told him I don’t really care one way or another. If I need it, I need it. Oh and for those of you that want to know...technically I had a little nauseousness in the beginning, had heartburn twice and my ankles swell a little, oh and I have gained a total of 20 pounds. The great news is that one more month and he can come anytime. One month...YEAH!!!! That means four more weeks. The earlier he comes the better for me.

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

Whooo Hooo, you are in the home stretch now! Most Drs don't do episiotomies anymore, it's kinda old school. I've heard it's better to tear as it's easier to heal, so look into that.
