I wanted to update you all not only the baby but what has been going on in our lives.
To start off, my great grandma passed away last week and her funeral was on Monday (my birthday). I am still a little dissappointed that I could not be with my family. RIP Grandma Ivy!
Second, Luke told me yesterday that our landlord called and said that he raises the rent during the summer...how retarded is that?! Why would you do that to your tenants that have never missed a rent payment?! Oh and to make it more aggravating our lease is up the end of May and if we stay in June then June will be higher because we aren't on a lease anymore. GRRRRR....
On to more exciting things. We had our ultrasound last night. The doctor said that his head measures 37 weeks but his legs and stomach only measure 35 1/2 weeks but he said that is no cause for concern. He also told us that my placenta is getting "old"...in doctor's terms that means giving up. So he ended up checking me for dilation. I am not dilating yet but I don't doubt that things will get moving soon. If I don't go into labor in the next week he is talking about enducing me. No there is no danger to me or the baby but he wants to make sure I have a normal birth. He is concerned about me due to my health history. I don't blame him for wanting to watch me more closely. On the plus side the baby was about six pounds last night so the doctor was right when he said that I will probably have a six and a half pound baby. I am excited but scared at the same time. I am ready to be done...my body is tired and when I say that I don't just mean what normal pregnant women feel, I mean I know when my body has had enough and is ready to quit.
Anyways, I will keep you all posted as to what happens.
P.S. My contractions are getting a little stronger today, so I don't think it will be to much longer. YEAH!!!!
