About 6 weeks ago I was trying to wake up my youngest (3 yrs) the same way I do every morning. She has this little pink dog that she loves, so the dog talks to her every morning trying to get her up. The dog likes to slide down her back. Anyway....I, the dog starting to pull her arm to get her up and Catherine was having a great time. We, I mean the dog pulled on Catherine many, many times. Well Catherine started screaming (6:30am) and my wife ran up stairs asking what happened. I played it down because Catherine sometimes gets a little cranky (red hair) but my wife (a physician) was thinking small fracture. Now I am concerned and not feeling all that good about myself.
Catherined calmed down and we brought her to day care and in the meantime we got a docs appointment (11am). We found out that I dislocated her left arm (I felt very small). My doc said this happens all the time and that made me feel a bit better. I can't believe I did this to my little girl, so now the dog does not pull on her anymore. They are so fragile but so resilient.
