Great Gobs of Moms

Posted May 14, 2007 at 11:13AM by momotogo

Had such a wonderful Mother's Day with my sisters-in-law and mother-in-law.  Grandma, Moms & kids filled the house and and we had a great backyard barbeque.  Did anyone else get together with extended family?  Or, did you keep it closer to home with immediate family?

We had a brunch in the country. The four kids had such a great time. I didn't see my daughter all day. Just two moms bathing in the sun having great adult conversation...about our kids. Best Day!!!

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

Breakfest at the local bakery in our town and then to the nursary to get new flowers and plant them with my kids. It was lovely. My Mom's live too far away to share the day. Lots of phone calls to all the Moms and faraway kisses!.

Secret Language of Babies

Posted May 3, 2007 at 12:06AM by momotogo

Has anyone else seen or heard about this?  I caught this on Oprah a few months ago.  It was fascinating.  This woman, Priscilla Dunstan, has identified specific sounds that babies make tied to specific needs like hunger, discomfort, etc.  I would love to hear what you have to say .You can check out her website here:

Wow for $50.00 I say no way. Learn about and practice attachment parenting - it is free. Of course our babies give us signs and signals through their noises when they need things. Just need to pay attention and you will learn to figure things out.

My child is sooo smart...

Actually, all our babies are pretty smart.  We can all feel very proud.  Check out this article I found from UC Davis, it gives interesting insight into how babies learn.
