Potty Training

Posted July 2, 2007 at 10:15AM by notthemoma

My 2 year old daughter is potty training and getting pretty good at it too, I must add..

She has 2 BFFs (Best Friends Forever), they are both boys.  Lately she now wants to stand when she goes to the potty "like Ethan and Malcom" (her BFFs)!  And even more lately, once you convince her that girls sit to go to the potty, she wants to hold herself and squeeze "like Ethan and Malcom".  And now, she's making me gray even more, by insisting on wearing the blue Cars pull-ups rather than the more girlie-like Princess pull-ups ... "like Ethan and Malcom".

It's a good thing Ethan and Malcom are only 2, otherwise I may have to over-react like a Iranian law-enforcer and chop their little heads off!

HAHAH one time when i was really small... maybe 2 or 3 ...I remember doing this too I bet my brother that girls were just as good as boys and that we could go standing up too! it didn't go well... and my mom ended up cleaning the bathroom. Needless to say I think she will grow out of it...

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

Oh man! When my DD was potty training I let her pick out her underwear. She picked out boy & girl pantys. I felt what ever motoviated her! But I wonder if I'll do the same for DS if he wants to wear girl pantys will I let him?

Summer is a great time to start training as depending where you live she can go outside on the lawn!

My mom said when I was a baby and she was Potty training me I tried to use the litter box like the cat. I'd say peeing like a boy is a step up.
