Pickiest Eater on the Planet

Recently, Shelly asked me a question which required a creative solution. I thought I'd share it with you:
Dear Missy,OK, I have a 4 year old boy who is the pickest eater on theplanet!! Since he started eating solid food, I have had the hardest timegetting him to eat anything at all. He can barely handle any meat withoutgagging and throwing it up. He hardly eats at all, to tell you the truth. Bananas, Strawberrys, and Grapes occasionally. He drinks about a gallon ofmilk everyday! I give him a liquid vitamin everyday- which is a giantstruggle because it tastes horrid. He won't do gummy bear vitamins, chewables, suckers or the like. I have tried it all. Please help - Any ideas???? Hi Shelly,You've truly got a tough one here. Here's an idea--how about seeingif he'll go for a smoothie made out of the things he'll eat now, likebananas and/or strawberries/and or grapes with a milk base. If he'll gofor that, we can use it to sneak some purees into. For example, if he'll eat red or purple grapes, you could sneak somepurple puree into it (see my website for free purple puree recipe). Ifhe'll go for a white smoothie, banana/milk for example, you could sneakeither white puree or white bean puree into it (again, free on mywebsite). And if he goes for strawberry, you could sneak some orangepuree into it.Whatever you do, start out slowly.Good luck, and be sure to let me know how it works. With healthiest regards,Missy Chase LapineThe Sneaky Chef
