If you eat hot dog chili sauce - don't

Posted July 24, 2007 at 4:12PM in Vent and Confess by Sticky_Mommy | Back

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

the u.s. food and drug administration (fda) is warning consumers not to eat 10-ounce cans of castleberry’s hot dog chili sauce (upc 3030000101), austex hot dog chili sauce (upc 3030099533) and kroger hot dog chili sauce (upc 1111083942) with “best by” dates from april 30, 2009 through may 22, 2009 due to possible botulism contamination. the “best by dates” can be found on the can lids.

two children in texas and an indiana couple who ate these products became seriously ill and have been hospitalized.

Thanks for the info. Glad we stay away from meat. I never heard of this stuff before. The only chili I like is my Father-in-Laws, but he won't make it anymore cause he doesn't eat meat either.
I'm still upset about the Veggie Booty recall.
