Ok. today was shopping day. I really hate shopping. Just one of those people I guess. I used to like it but I guess with having a 3 yr. old it makes all shopping (except shoe shopping) not so much fun and really tiring (how do you all with more than one do it?).
We were out of... well about everything. Our water is not so good here, so we fork over the $ to buy bottled water (Deer Park). We were off to Sam's club. Got the Big items there water and some organic things: peppers, banana's, spinach, baby carrots and avacado's. Got some salsa and dish soap and new tooth brushes. Yeah out-of-there pretty quick.
Get home, unpacked and out the door again. This time to Super Wal-mart. Like I said...out of everything. Ran through got my shampoo and razors, then to pick up some pull-ups and free baby wipes. Uggg... now onto the food section. went backwards...cold first (thinking this would make me speed through the rest) then all the rest of things and last the produce section. Got what we needed that I had on my list and also the things that I forgot to put on the list. Got a bunch of organic things but most importantly (of which I am so proud of myself for).....
Everything that I bought today at Sam's and Super Wal-Mart is .....NOT..... MADE IN CHINA! WOW, CAN'T BELIEVE I MADE IT OUT OF THERE WITHOUT SOMETHING FROM CHINA (I should note....that I know of, that is). ALMOST ALL U.S. Products. I read all the labels before I put it in my cart and there were only a few items that I grabbed that were China made and I put them back.
Now I will state also that I did not buy any home furnishings or toys or clothes or school supplies or craft things. I do feel really proud of myself and DH *and* DD are proud of me too.
Tomorrow I'm off to M.O.M. (My Organic Market) for some other things we are out of and I will try to buy mostly local produce and U.S. products there too.
I look forward to telling my Father this, he'll be proud too. Got new bandaids for DD tonight and they are made in Spain. That was different.
