Getting Google Results

Posted August 21, 2007 at 10:49AM in Talk Around The Playground General by dvd1711 | Back

Just a quick tip to using google and getting results. I watched CBS Sunday Morning - one of my favorite shows; I think it belongs on PBS, but I digress - and they did a segment about google. One of the engineers said the best tip to getting the best hits on a topic is to type the search in the form of an answer.

For example; instead of typing, "How do I start my own businees?" Type, "Start your own business." Because websites and ads are written in the latter form, the hits will be more accurate when entered in the answer you are looking for, not looking for the question you are asking.

I hope this makes sense and happy googling!

Peace.

/Dave
