  Life is crazy but wonderful.

Scary. More Chinese made goods. Did you hear that Mattel apologized to China for the recall of the toys that were made in China? Am I the only one that sees something wrong with that?

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I have been saying this entire time that is the companies we should be angry with and not China. I hold Mattel responsible not the Chinese factory. It is up to the company to provide detailed specs as to how to make their products, under what conditions, to fully inspect the factories throughout the year and to check the finished products. There are many companies who have quality products made in China because they choose to be fully involved in all aspects of the process. It is clear to me That Mattel is admitting they could have done better and is taking the blame. I agree that the blame should be on them.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely think Mattel is to blame, and I am not buying any of their products, I just think that Mattel would not order the Chinese factory to put high levels of lead paint on toys. I think that was a factory decision, it is cheap and it dries faster. They cut corners, and Mattel failed to catch them, I'm not saying Mattel shouldn't be sorry, but China not accepting some of the blame is not encouraging them to change how they do business, they are also at fault. I agree some quality goods come out of China, but we have to be assured of their safety, and right now I'm not really sure. Between tires, toys, cribs, food, etc., this is not only specs from our companies, this is lack of inspection by the Chinese also. If it were only Mattel I would agree, but it is not, it is a number of companies. They didn't have these massive problems before, so there has to be a reason, and it lies with the factory, if it were American I would say the same thing, and I would expect our government to step in, as I do the Chinese. This is a communist country it should have no trouble controlling their factories.

I agree. I feel the same way. I listen to the Mattel questioning on tv and it just enraged me even more at how stupid they acted and they didn't have a clue as to what the heck was going on. Mattel is surely to blame and they need to step up and be involved in every aspect of their goods. Sorry doesn't cut it folks.
China is also to blame cause HEY...THEIR CHILDREN ARE BEING POISIONED BY THIS LEAD TOO!! They need to ban all lead paint from everywhere and most important take responsibility and PUT SAFETY FIRST!
Safety should always be the first step, what the heck is wrong with these people.
