I am a mother of two children who are 11 months apart. When I had my son it was an induced vaginal labor so all went well. He was born normal with no major complications although I did experience some. I had epidural of course. LOL! However, my daughers pregnancy and labor was anything but normal. I started bleeding at five months and had to get steroid shots to help quicken her lung development. I also went from 1 to 2 centimeters dialated. I was told bed rest was a must but I decided to finish school or at least try. But after a month of sporatic bleeding and remaining dialated my Doctor realized my amnionic fluid was leaking as well, so he decided to induce my labor the next day.
My labor was induced and I have a hard time dialating from 2 to the four centimeters I needed. When it happened epidural was placed in my spine but nothing happened. Then twice more and still I was getting numb. It turned out that I had scar tissue blockage in my spine so nothing was getting thru. My doctor said he could give me something else for the pain but everything else came with some flaw, like lowering my baby's respiratory rate. I wasn't having that. So, I decided to do it natural. And boy was that a long 10 hours and 16 minutes. Finally, I flet like I had to take a "crap" and low and behold it was actually my daughters head crowing! What an experience but at least I have a horror story to deter my daughter or son from having children at an early age. LOL!
