Oh trust me you can tell a boy. My hubby didn't want to know, but I did. As soon as the wand went over the area that would tell us, I could tell it was a boy, right away. I was surprised my hubby couldn't tell. I was so excited because I wanted a boy really bad. I told our entire families because they wanted to know. Only my hubby was in the dark until he was looking at the picture of the baby and said it looks like a boy. You are better than I, I wanted to know for both of mine.

We found out w/out son, but I could not tell on the ultra sound. We even have print outs with an arrow pointing to his scrotum and it was still hard for us to id!

my sons were all really obvious and rather large... for a two inch baby :)and each time my husband said, "it looks like he takes after dad" I was pretty embarassed because he always cracks jokes like that- but they aren't funny...I'll tell you about the big vasectomy jokes he told later-
