Say YES! to Sorbet
Nutrition highlights: fruit and fiber
Rich in vitamins: C and K, fiber, antioxidants, and ellagic acid
My kids (and even I) want dessert nearly every night after dinner. I got tired of saying no all the time and enduring the fight and negotiations. Instead, I decided to get creative and use this daily request as an opportunity to not only win the " best mom" award, but also to slip in another serving of immune-boosting fruit for the day. With your mini food processor on hand, this homemade sorbet takes less than two minutes prep time. Serve in a parfait or ice cream glass and garnish with a few colored sprinkles.
This recipe can be quickly converted to a thinner virgin fruit daiquiri by adding an extra 1/2 cup of juice and then mixing in the blender. Serve with a straw and cocktail umbrella, if you're feeling especially festive.
Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries, blueberries, or cherries (without syrup or added sweeteners)
- 1/2 cup store-bought juice (pomegranate or your preference)
- 2 teaspoons sugar or honey
Steps
- Put all the ingredients in food processor and puree on high--hold on tight, the first few seconds are a bit rough until the mixture smoothes out
Easy & Delicious - Enjoy!
