Help - I'm stuck

Posted December 20, 2007 at 9:51AM in Schooling by RainbowDash | Back

They're cute when they're alseep!

My daughter goes to day care part time and has 3 care givers in her class. What can I give them for Christmas gifts? Is Cash King and if so how much for each teacher from a part time kid?

Thanks Oh Wise Mommas!

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

Me too! My kids both go part time to day care and I'm stuck on what to give their teachers. Do they really want another craft made by some other kid? I'm leaning toward $ or a gift Cert for $20 per teacher.

  Life is crazy but wonderful.

I never gave cash. I always had my daughter make something special for her teachers. One year we made dough ornaments which she painted. Another year we made some cookies. This year my daughter picked out a m&m mug with m&m's in it for her teacher. I think smaller is better, it should be a little token to say thank you.

I am going with good local chocolate this year for my son's kindergarten teacher.

dishing the dirt, cleaning the chaos

good call- a gourmet chocolate bar with a bow is sure cheaper than $20/teacher...especially for part time! we made necklaces out of large pendants we happened to have in the house. I told them if they didn't want to wear them, snip the cord and make it into an ornament...they loved them. I've also done starbucks $10 a pop...when I had one kid with one teacher, I gave wine...funky paper from tj max or another wholesale store is fun...mugs (again, tj max), really nice pens, that kind of stuff is always good. good luck!
