ok, well, I'll let these norwegian dudes sing it for me....

here's the deal. our au pair arrived a week ago. she's great. we've had quite a lot to do to get her settled in. she's from mexico and she speaks minimal ingles. so,

first hallejulah? my spanish is understandable. she and I have been communicating en espanol. I never had the cajones (can I say that?) to actually try to speak in spanish with native speakers. now, I feel much more comfortable...

hallejulah numero 2?
well, at 5:00 yesterday, while making dinner during the infamous crazy hour- you know what hour I mean, the 4:45-5:45 madness-- I was able to focus on making dinner because I hear this sound from the other room: laughter! not fighting or screaming or yelling...but K (the nanny) is playing with the boys!! she's got them engaged in a happy game while I deal with everything else. it was like a beam of light came down from el cielo.

hallejulah numero 3?
I ran to drop off my son at school while K stayed with the little one...

numero 4?
I went grocery shopping ALONE!!!

numero5?
my husband's in china and I have a nother set of hands!!!

6?
cheaper than full & part time daycare for 3 boys

7?
even though school was cancelled, I went about my day.

8?
I am going out on friday night- to a surprise party.
