Carrot-apillar - For Picky Eaters !!

Posted March 11, 2008 at 7:14AM in Nutrition and Meals General by sandy6474 | Back

This cute creature encourages kids to eat their vegetables.

As children grow, some tend to become pickier about what they will eat, especially vegetables. If puffed veggie snacks are as close as your child will get to the real thing, try this cute little critter to sneak in some nutrition.

What You'll Need:

Ten baby carrots (NOTE: You can soften carrots by steaming them.)
Cream cheese
One grape tomato

To Assemble:

Have your child line up the carrots single file on a plate.
Use a small amount of cream cheese to cement the carrots together.
Place the tomato at one end to use as the head.
Encourage your child to make the caterpillar smaller by crunching on one carrot at a time until he reaches the head!
