toddler acne?

Posted April 23, 2008 at 1:41PM in Ages and Stages by Kelmcmom | Back

Diggin the motherhood gig

Well we have allheard sbout baby acne...but all of the sudden, for about 2 weeks my girl (age one) has a nice little red patch of zits on her cheek. I can only surmise that its the cheek she commonly sleeps on. Anyone else with this issue? Nothin worse with a cute kid with ugly stuff on her face! That stuff can wait til she is 13. :o)

Thanks other Mommies! (not pictured below-the zits)

  I'm with my child :)

I'm sure it's just a heat rash or the changing of the seasons. She sure is cute!

Goofing around with my babies - Big and Lil

This is what I did. Apply white petroleum jelly in the night when baby sleeps for 3-4 days. It worked with my baby.

Be sure to check with your doctor if the rash lingers more than a week. Sometimes eczema appears when the child has a sensitivity to a food, detergent, or some other item.

You might try using a natural oil like avocado, safflower, even an aloe vera gel on the spot.
