A friend of mine is an artist who does life-like acrylics but also a wide variety of whimscal watercolors - that are really beautiful.  She has some samples on her website, but she will also paint to order!  She is amazing!  Check out her website - if she has the owl posted yet - that os the one she just painted for my daughter and we LOVE it!
