Back to school time can mean break the bank time when it comes to
new clothes for your child. Before you buy, check out these
ideas to help you save money on your child's wardrobe!
1. Shop at store sales, garage sales, thrift shops and consignment stores.
2. Ask other parents, relative and friends to exchange "hand-me-down" clothes.
3. For socks and underwear, shop at discount stores or factory outlets, where they sell their
irregulars at good prices.
4. Use fabric paints on stained clothes - let the kids get involved if they're old enough to help with
new designs.
5. Do a clothes exchange in your neighborhood, invite the other parents have some wine on hand
and ask everyone to bring a dish and clothes they want to trade. If there are any clothes left over
then they are donated. This is a good excuse for a ladies night - no kids or husbands!
