Toddler refusing to eat solids - Help!

Posted May 27, 2008 at 12:06AM in Family Living General by benbaby | Back

Goofing around with my babies - Big and Lil

My 16 month old son refuses to eat solids. But he'll happily drink down milk and juices. I've been creative and tried lot of different foods to make him eat. I've given him finger foods because he is now in a phase where he doesn't want me to feed him at all. This is the fourth day running and he has not eaten properly. I'm worried he's not getting enough nutrition and is starving himself.  Need advice from all the experienced mommies out there. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

I've tried banana smoothies. But he usually prefers spicy food and refuses any bland or sweet food other than
ice cream. Do you have any recipe for toddlers?

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

Try some sneaky chef recipes. I'd cut down on the juice b/c that will fill him up and it's got lots of sugar in it.

Something I did for my kids was to leave out "snacks" on a snack shelf they could reach. Things like cheese, crackers, nuts, freash fruit that's not to messy.
