They do that over at google groups. They are forums of specific topics, much like this site. When anyone has a new comment, that topic goes right to the top of the list.

yeah I think it is pretty standard. It would help so much since there is no way to sign up to subscribe to a post it is hard to go back each day and dig through to find the post you are interested in just to see if there have been any other comments entered. This too is pretty standard on most forums. I am sure this is on your list because I have requested at least the subscribing one before. Not being able to easily have access to the threads I am interested in is probably my biggest issue.

mybaby did you add the comment notifications because all of a sudden last night I got hit with a ton of email notifications of others posting comments on posts I had commented on. It was great!
