Coffee Talk: How Do You Get in Shape 4 Summer?

For all us unlucky ladies who battle post-baby bulge (and all the dads who put on that darned sympathy weight),  spring means shorts...shorts mean skin...skin means flab. I'm doubting I'll be getting that tummy tuck any time soon so I figure I'll have to suck it up and work on my mombod.

Well, dang. Here's what I'm going to do:

1. WALK - I bought myself a secret toy...an ipod. Go girl, go.
2. Drink water. Okay, seltzer with vodka and a twist but hey, better than beer.
3. Bikram yoga- 2x week...I'm commited!
4. FLAT TUMMY FOODS- ok, I'll never get a flat tummy but whatever, I like guacamole...I'll eat it with cherry tomatoes.
5. Fruits and veggies. Yes Please.

Just kidding (well not really) but I am actually trying to lose some weight. I broke down and joined weight watchers two months ago. I opted for the online version because I don't want to go to the meetings. I lost 6 pounds in the first 4 weeks. Once I added the daily walks the pounds came off quicker. I slacked on watching my portions for the past 2 weeks and haven't lost anything (but I haven't gained either). It is amazing - when you actually eat a bit less and move your body you can lose weight. What a concept. Such a simple thing that is so freakin' hard to do.

  I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

1. Does your husband know about the iPod? Hmmm?
2. I just bought myself a Pilates class pass today and will go once a week (bought the 18 pass instead of the 10 pass - Husband doesn't know, it went on the CC).
3. Ride my bike 3X per week 30 mins each
4. Use my online Weight Watchers etools and maybe go to a few meetings.
5. Vodka for sure

I'm a SAHM and I've been wanting to join a gym to get back in shape but, I find it extremely difficult with my son clinging on to me always. Do you have any suggestions??

I guess get out there and walk with the baby....that's what I did with my 1st one!

  Massage therapist, martial artist, butt-kickin' momma.

1. Karate kicks my butt.
2. A regular schedule of sit-ups and push-ups.
3. Bodyweight training - google it, it really, really works!
4. Being outside running around as much as possible.
5. Remember, cardio is your friend.
6. Definitely yoga, especially moving from pose to pose.
