Tell me if I’m being ghetto, or smart for recycling, or lazy. We’re having a party for my son on Saturday and I’m not trying to invite the world or spend a lot of money. Here’s what I’m doing and how much it’s costing me.
He’s turning two and our theme is “Ivan and the terrible twos”
- Skateboard piñata - $12.00
- candy we have around the house for piñata - FREE
- random toys we have to fill the piñata – FREE
- bags for piñata candy - $2.00
- scheduling the party after lunch & before dinner, snack & beer cost - $30.00
- paper crowns - $4.00
- homemade cake from a box with frosting - $4.00
- paper plates in our closet – FREE
- cups, none needed for juice boxes and beer – FREE
- my Mom is bringing hotdogs – FREE
- Duck, Duck, Goose game – FREE
- Homemade invites – FREE
- Stamps - $1.68
- A terrible favor we’re making ourselves – FREE
So far it’s costing us $53.68. The only thing I feel bad about is if my daughter recognizes any of the recycled toys in the piñata.
