After Effects Of Illness In Children

Posted June 24, 2008 at 3:09PM in Family Living General by rohansmama | Back

My Toddler was sick for almost two weeks. Now that he is recovering, I'm also slowly getting back to normal life from a depressed state. But, now the most worrying thing is that my son who was looking healthy has now become very skinny. I feel terrible and have been wondering how to get him back to shape. His sickness this time has ruined his appetite. I'm running out of ideas to cook for my toddler. Pls let me know what you did, to get your children back to normal after their illness. What should I do to improve his apetite?

there's no method to my madness

just relax. lay in bed together, snuggle...popciscles and small treats..fruit, applesauce, smoothies...start easy. I'm sorry you're having a hard time. best wishes

I wish I could do that...But I realize when he is asleep that my house is in a mess...so thats when I actually do the household work.

I'm not sure there is anything you can do. His appetite will return once he is fully recovered. In the mean time push the fluids, feed fruit, toast, soups etc.
