Last week my son was ill and had a worst diaper rash. All what we did then was to wash him up and then leave him in his birthday suit. During the week end we had to travel and I forgot to pack the diaper rash cream. So we stopped by a pharmacy to pick up some diaper rash cream. While I was there thought I should enquire with the pharmacist if she had any suggestion for my son's diaper rash in case it becomes bad. And she gave me a concoction that she uses on her children's sensitive skin. And I am going to share it with you!
All you need is some antacid liquid and some Aquaphor
(she gave me the little round tub of it, not the tube). And you mix it
in a one-to-one ratio. So, one tablespoon of antacid liquid, one
tablespoon of Aquaphor. The antacid apparently dissolves the acidity of the urine which causes the diaper rash. The Aquaphor is the stuff that makes the antacid stick to butts...and hands...and fingers...
She
also said to make sure you use a butter knife and wax paper to do your
mixture on as well as mix a little of the antacid at a time. That way
you don't make a big ol' mess.
So far, I
am liking the results of this stuff. It is certainly cheaper than the
regular butt creams.
