You think you need a second husband??

Goofing around with my babies - Big and Lil

On a weekday once I was struggling with my household chores and baby. I was finding it really tough to finish my work  for the day as listed in my diary. I was hoping that my husband would help me with some work after he gets back home from work...but, I was surprised to see him relax in front of tv. I guessed that he must have a tough day at work too . I still asked if he could help me. He acted deaf so, I continued with my work. Suddenly he came to me and asked" You think you need a second husband to help you with the household work?" ...I was left speechless at this question. Actually I felt like I should pull my hair with anger burning down but I smiled and asked him " You think you need a second wife on days when you need me and I'm not interested". He was amazed at my reply...lol

Have you ever gone through any such instances in your life and What would you do in a situation like this? or how would you react?

  Diggin the motherhood gig

I can relate. My husband thinks that he is the only one that "works" so he thinks when he gets home thats it! But my job is 24-7!

Massage therapist, martial artist, butt-kickin' momma.

Don't get me started! That was a great comeback, BTW. My husband and I both work, yet it always seems that I'm the one cleaning the house in my "spare" time. I've had lengthy discussion with hub about evening out the chores, but somehow, when he's watching the child (we have never done daycare but have split the work days between us) nothing gets done. It's great that he gets to play with the boy all day, but some help would be great. His reply is, "Well, Griffyn didn't let me get anything done"! Argh. So how do I manage to clean the entire house (vacuum, wipe-down, etc.), wash and fold all the laundry, make dinner (I always make dinner. I get the same response if I ask him to make dinner. Although, all we would have is meat if he cooked. He's not a bad cook, just a lazy one), go food shopping and still have time to play? It's a mystery.
