Life is crazy but wonderful.

I love christmas shopping. It is really the only shopping I let myself go a little crazy with. I don't overdo it, but I like giving my kids a great christmas. Today I placed my first christmas order. Last year I tried to avoid Chinese made goods, and I did a fairly good job about it. I was a little wary of their toys after all the recalls. This year I plan to do a lot of online/catalog shopping because of gas prices. I figure because I live 60 miles away from the stores that the shipping charge is cheaper than driving to the mall. I am hoping that a lot of retailers are going to do free shipping promos this year, and I am going to wait for those. But today I couldn't resist a High School Musical music brush set for daughter. She is going to be 11 and she really is starting to love this stuff. I could get her brushes and shoes for christmas and she would be happy. I also ordered my son a big box of kinex, he loves those things. Well let the shopping commence. I love this time of year.:)

oh boy it is now officially time. I remember you posting about this last year too. I am going to try so hard to start early this year. I can't stand waiting to the last minute. It costs more and makes it all more stressful. Thanks for the reminder.

Happy to help. It is expensive if you wait until close to christmas. I have found that it is much more fun and less stressful to stretch it out. One thing that also makes things fun is that my mom and I have a mother/daughter weekend. I go and spend the weekend at her house and we go christmas shopping in November before thanksgiving. We usually go out to lunch and meet my aunt and cousins. It is a lot of fun and we get a lot done. Anything to make it less stresful, especially with my school. Finals is always a week or so before christmas and my daughter's birthday, so I really can't wait until the last minute. If I have learned anything it is how to be well organized.

Its would be really smart to start christmas shopping early to avoid hurried shopping and for best prices. This is only my second christmas in the US so thanks for waking me:) I also can finish much before the season starts.
