Make Big Bubbles without any trouble
I was gathering some ideas for a kiddie birthday party and found something I wanted to share because I had lots of fun playing bubbles with my toddler. Giant Bubbles - great for birthday parties or just for fun's sake!!
Tried & Tested Solution:
450ml dishwasher detergent (I like Pamolive - bright green, good smell!)
25mls glycerine (available from the pharmacy - & no, it's not the explosive stuff! Wouldn't that be exciting!)
2 dessertspoons laundry powder (cold wash)
2 litres warm water
Mix altogether and simmer slowly for 1 - 2 hours (keep checking it to make sure it doesn't boil over). Then leave to cool.
Make a giant bubble wand out of an old wire coat hanger. Go for gold.
Other Bubble recipes to try (not tested these yet, but the 2nd one seems easier than simmering the mixture)
Recipe One
1 cup water
2 cups dishwashing liquid
Mix gently then let leave to settle for 2-4 hours before using.
Recipe Two
1 cup water
2 cups dishwashing liquid
½ to 1 cup Glycerine
Mix gently then let settle for 2-4 hours.
Helpful tip to remember: whatever you use as a bubble wand, it must be able to go completely under the mixture to make bubbles.
Have Fun!
I'm looking for more fun ideas with toddlers at party times so, please share your ideas.
