Quick and Easy Fairy Lights

Posted August 5, 2008 at 2:52PM in Activities, Arts & Crafts by kittenmama | Back

Want to add some visual pop to your white fairy lights? With a few
supplies found in your craft cupboard and kitchen, you can take your
fairy lights from run of the mill to unexpectedly lovely in no time.

What You'll Need
  • LED lights (only use LED lights, as they do not emit heat)
  • short-bladed scissors
  • long-bladed scissors
  • cardboard egg cartons, preferably in a few colors

To find out the steps, read more:

  1. With your long-handled scissors, cut away the cardboard around the cup strips.
  2. Next, cut out each separate cup.
  3. Using your shorter scissors, trim the edges of each cup to form flower petals.
  4. At the opening of each flower cup, make a slit in each side.
  5. Insert one LED light into each flower cup.
  6. Use a hole punch to make holes in the flowers, which will help light to shine through.
  7. Hang your floral fairy lights around your headboard in your bedroom, or across a mirror.

Super easy! I'm going to try this when i get home.
