Wii Advice

Posted August 14, 2008 at 11:14AM by vtmomof2 | Back

Life is crazy but wonderful.

My mom got my kids a Wii for christmas.  She got it for both of them and she is getting them a couple of accessories, like another paddle, to go with it.  I was planning on making this Wii system the big present for my kids and buy them each a game and some accessories to go with it that they will open christmas morning, they will get the system on christmas eve.  The problem I'm having is that there is so much to go with this system I am overwhelmed with the choices. Plus I don't really know much about the system to begin with. I really would just like to find a game or two for each of them.  Does anybody have any suggestions on games that are appropriate for an 11 and 5 year old?  I only let them play games that are rated E.  The system comes with bowling, the only game I've played on it, and tennis.  My daughter loves science and I have seen science related games, does anybody know if these games are fun?   What kinds of things can you do with this system?  My son has lots of energy but I haven't seen any games that will focus that energy, but I have heard that they have them, does anybody know which games are good for a high energy 5 year old boy?  I guess I just need some help.  Thanks.

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

I don't have a Wii, but I've heard great things about Wii Fit. And that's a game the whole family could enjoy.

  Diggin the motherhood gig

The Wii carnival game is the best, and does not require accessories. Everyone in my fam plays it, from the 3 year old up to my father! Some skills are a little harder than others, but its still fun to try. The graphics are colorful and the skills and actions are pretty forgiving.

Thanks, that sounds like that might work for my son. He will the colors and action.
