Good example of how kids decide your schedules

Goofing around with my babies - Big and Lil

Yesterday was our wedding anniversary. We did not plan much in the way of celebration. We thought of breakfast and lunch out with Ben,  a movie, pick some plants to remember the day and take Ben to the park. Little did we know when we stepped out that we are gonna have a miserable day. We had an early breakfast. Got a little suspicious as to why Ben did not eat anything, but just ignored for that moment thinking that it could be a milk day for him, since he started his day with Milk and insisted on more. By the time we reached the park Ben was very tired and silent and started getting feverish. We were totally unprepared for this situation because just the night before we went for a concert and he was the star of the show. He got photographed and videographed by the people there because they thought he was very cute and hyperactive. We rushed back home and he became very clingy to me. Took him to the doctor who said he has a very bad tonsilites infection. He is unable to even drink water though he wants to. Since yesterday has has not taken in anything. I have never seen him like this before. We eat lunch at tea time and did not even feel like having dinner. We felt so miserable and helpless. I  was wondering how kids could affect our schedules. I always thought if mommy isn't happy nobody will be happy.  But I think I should change it to ' If kids aren't happy then nobody will be happy'.  Whats your opinion??

They really do come first. You will have other anniversaries, and heck, go ahead and celebrate your anniversary on another day when he is feeling better. I am sure you would not have even been able to have a good time knowing he was a home sick anyway!
