The school where my son is starting first grade tomorrow hasn't updated their website and it is driving me crazy.  Coming from the web world it is just maddening to look at outdated websites.  There is no point in having one if it is not kept up.  You would think by the day before the first day the dates would be changed and a new home page message welcoming new students and returning students or something would be added.  We have this great system where you can prepay for school lunches online so I ususallly throw $20 into it because we usually pack our own but I let him get pizza on Thursdays.  Well they haven't added his name yet since he is a transfer student.  Come on.  School starts tomorrow.  Get with the freakin' program.  I remember last year at his other school it was the same way.  They were terrible at getting info out to the parents.  I was horrified to show up the first day last year and not have a clue as to where to go and what to do.  At  least this year his teacher sent home a great letter written to the students welcoming them and telling them where to go the first day.  That was very nice of her.  Well I guess now I know where I will be trying to help out on the PTO this year.  I will be volunterring for website updates for sure.  They need some major help.

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

Oh man, now that I am entering the world of school I'm peeved too. The bus schedule hasn't been made for preschoolers! And there was no test bus run for the little guys. Maybe they will have the schedule up today is what the bus garage told me yesterday. HELLO, school starts tomorrow!

  Life is crazy but wonderful.

Our school is actually a little better. My son went through kindergarten transition this summer and has already taken the bus home, and we were told which bus he would be on, of course I already knew because I have an older daughter. When my daughter started we had just moved here from So. Burlington, so we did not know anything about the system up here. The teacher and principal practically held our hand for the first week. It can get frustrating. Thank you for reminding me about school lunch/breakfast money, I completely forgot, I have two this year for breakfast and they are going to need money.

I am not sure exactly what to say our schools do not even offer this here. The most interactive the websites here get is you can mapquest the address..lol
