My Little one won't let go of my ears...

Posted August 27, 2008 at 11:53PM in Ages and Stages by rohansmama | Back

My toddler has found my ear as a comforter when he is sleepy , drinks milk or juice , when he is upset, when he meets strangers....at most times during the day. He started this habit about 3 months back and is still continuing.
Wonder when will this stage will come to an end?  My nephew has a habit of holding on to his mom's mole on the neck like my son ...he is 3 1/2 years old and started this habit about 1 1/2 and still continues. So is this a stage in toddlers or is it something which runs in our family types? Couple of days back I removed my ear ring to find out his reaction....and he got really annoyed with me. He prefers my ears to his father's ears. So, I was just suggesting my husband to put on an ear ring to fake mama to put him to sleep...lol  . You think it will work? Please let me have your honest opinion to save my Ears.

Goofing around with my babies - Big and Lil

Hey that sounds like he has picked up the habit and you have not tried enough to discourage him. I know about my nephew who holds on to his belly button when he drinks milk. Guess its that way. Not sure though. May be you should ask your pediatrician about this since nobody else seems to know much.
