Pregnancy hormones at their finest

Posted September 17, 2008 at 1:31PM in Humor by Sullysmama | Back

Will the next one be ginger too??

I'm a high school teacher and today we had this diversity training group meeting. We meet once a month. This was the first meeting and there were maybe 12 people plus 2 administrators in our group. We were supposed to bring a photo of someone who has been an influence in our lives and talk about the traits that inspire us about that person. So, I'm the 3rd person to talk and I can barely choke out the word grandpa before I start bawling---in front of like 6 people that I've never even met, and maybe 4 that don't know me very well. I try to tell about how he was such a loving person, and he made me want to be that kind of person for my son and how in turn I want to make the school a safe place for my students and for my son when he gets to high school blah blah blah. 4 kleenex later, I choke out an apology for my pregnancy hormones and pass my turn to the next person. Little did I know I started a trend. I looked around and I had made 3 different women cry during my terrible story and then as we continued around the circle 6 other people cried during their stories (obviously making me cry again). We were a mess!! It was pretty entertaining!

Good GOD! Pregnancy hormones are freaking ridiculous!

Goofing around with my babies - Big and Lil

Oh yes, I remember breaking up in office several times during my pregnancy and I just could not control myself.

  Life is crazy but wonderful.

It is a very emotional time. I remember crying at work with my daughter, and I quit my job with my pregnancy that miscarried, and well I was jobless with my son, so no embarrassing outbursts. Thankfully you didn't cry alone. I can never hold back the tears when I see another person crying, and I'm not even pregnant.

Wow! Sounds like quite a release:) At least it was in a situation where it was ok to cry, and not in the grocery store checkout line or something.
