Preschool photos back, but she's in her PJ's

I love my job, it gives me a break from my kids!

We got our first school photos back this week. I spend the morning fixing our daughter's unruly hair, selecting the perfect school photo outfit - skirt, tights, shirt and solid color sweater so there would not be any crazy pattern to distract from our lovely girls face (can you tell i'm married to a photographer?).

So I get her all dressed except her shirt & sweater b/c she still needed to eat breakfast and I didn't want her spill anything on her top.Told my husband she was ready to go but to take off her PJ top and put on her sweater.

Did that happen? No. I got the photos back and surprise! She's in her very busy pattern flowerly pajama top!! You can tell she's wearing her PJ's to school. She looks really sweet and the photo came out nicely, but how does a Dad send their kid to school with their PJ's?

This morning I told our daughter:

Me: You look really cute in your school photo.
DD: Yeah, I know.

We're going to have to work on her modesty.

Gettin' used to this "mom of two" stuff.

That's hilarious. We just had Sully's school pictures and so we chose the cute "park setting" background with the fall leaves and park bench. Where most kids stand out from the background, Sully fades into the orange leaves with his nice shade of red hair and his cute fall colored outfit. It's almost like he disappeared completely and all you can see is his adorable pasty white little face! It's so funny!

Oh man! PJs? Well, wait until she's a teenager and wants to wear ripped nylons or something that's in fashion at the time (or so she thinks). I'm sure her Grandparents will love her photos, no matter what's she is wearing. At least she let you fix her hair! And don't work on her modesty - that will get crushed enough when she gets to be a pre-teen.
And poor Sullys Mom - but at least you can see his darling face.
